Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for a Work Control Specialist, supporting TOS II, at Arnold AFB Tennessee. The Work Control Specialist will be working as a member of an integrated team responsible for supporting the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts
Open to internal and external candidates.
Job Summary
The successful candidate will function as a Work Control Specialist in the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) function supporting Asset Management (Work Control) and serve as the primary customer service focal point for maintenance and repair requirements. Working within available budgets, you will prioritize and coordinate tasks with customers, shop supervisors, and government representatives. You will collaborate with planners and schedulers to direct activities across multiple trades, including carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, crane/mechanical maintenance, heavy equipment, and construction. Additional responsibilities include evaluating work requests, managing contract services and preventive maintenance, performing moderately complex data analysis for daily operational reports, and standardizing work processes across the TOSII contract
Job Duties:
  • Analyzes each work request input from customers to determine proper priority using the civil engineering priority system and initiate the work management process
  • Monitor and analyze project funds, understanding consumption and availability
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for compiling, recording, updating and maintaining current data daily from the work management system. The data source is from various work documents such as emergency work tasks, work requests, work orders, preventive maintenance work, and projects.
  • Develops and generates a variety of reports or documents as requested by the Government, assigned shops or others
  • Perform data analysis using MS Office tools and other programs as necessary
  • Participate in review and preparation of data required for the monthly work plan
  • Communicates with personnel via a handheld radio for emergencies and urgent service orders
  • Supports other Work Control staff and management as needed or directed
  • Use independent judgement gained from experience, education and training to perform duties
  • Majority of the incumbent's time will be spent in an office environment; however, it may require periodic trips to the site of work to gather information and specifications from customers and co-workers
  • Review estimates for compliance with overall project objectives
  • Proficient use of computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
  • Oversee and maintain the facility's physical security protocols by administering the key control program via AEDC Process Director. This includes managing the authorized issuance, tracking, and secure storage of physical keys, maintaining an accurate and audited key inventory database within the Process Director system, and aligning physical access permissions with organizational security policies to prevent unauthorized entry and safeguard assets
  • Effectively coordinating a number of projects simultaneously
  • Dealing with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations
  • Communicating effectively orally and in writing
  • Completing all mandated training requirements per government and management directives
  • Timely and cost effective performance of duties
  • Adherence to established company operating policies, procedures and accepted industrial practices

Basic Qualifications:
  • High school education or equivalent.
  • L06: Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities maintenance or planningscheduling, coordinating
  • L07: Minimum of 8 years of experience in facilities maintenance or planningscheduling, coordinating
  • Three years' experience in the use of a computerized maintenance management system, (CMMS)
  • Three years' customer service experience
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance and the AEDC local area network
  • Current U.S. Citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree
  • Seven years of work coordination, planning and scheduling
  • Experience with Oracle WAM (oracle work and asset management)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
