Assist with implementing before and/or after-school programs at Deming Early Learning Center, 1750 8th Ave. Terre Haute, IN.
Specific Responsibilities
Are you ready to pretend you are on an island surrounded by shark infested waters (4 year olds with vivid imaginations) or build a house of Magna-tiles? Play is children's work and our adults keep them safe, add to their play, and encourage exploration. Terre Haute Children's Museum provides a play based STEM before and after school program for Vigo County School Corporation's earliest learners - 4 and 5 year olds at Deming Early Learning Center. The Program Assistants are the playful and supportive team that interacts with the students.

Job Duties
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • 12-28 hours per week in the school year, Monday-Friday
  • Implements the before and/or after school program for 4 and 5 year old children at Deming Early Learning Center from 6:30-8:00 a.m. and/or 2:45-6:00 p.m.
  • Delivers all programs effectively and safely to ensure family and school satisfaction and achievement of museum program goals.
  • May occasionally provide direct supervision of volunteer, work study, and contract program facilitators.
  • Helps maintain accurate records of attendance, security issues, and parent communication.
