Job Description Summary:
Summary:
The Center for Research and Fellowships (CRF) administers three key areas of programming at Villanova University: student research, nationally competitive scholarships and fellowships, and the Presidential Scholars Program (PSP).
CRF seeks an undergraduate student worker to support general office functions starting in Fall 2026. Student workers will have numerous opportunities to develop professional skills through writing, editing, outreach, and events.
This position reports to CRF's Senior Administrative Assistant.
Responsibilities:
  • Front Desk & Operations: Greeting all guests to the CRF-Office of Education Abroad (OEA) office suite; checking in appointments; answering in-person and phone inquiries; editorial projects; data projects; supporting CRF staff on programmatic needs.
  • Events: Provide support with events, including the autumn Student Research Symposium, February Presidential Scholars Interview Program. Creating and editing promotional materials.
  • Outreach: Assist in outreach and recruitment of candidates for external scholarships and fellowships, such as the Fulbright U.S. Student Program and other awards. Promote CRF through on-campus tabling and orientation events (occasionally on weekends/evenings).
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

  • Strong interpersonal/customer service skills. This role involves frequent interaction with students, staff, and external stakeholders like Villanova applicants, parents, and high school guidance counselors including in person and on the phone
  • An interest in writing, proofreading, and editorial work
  • Willingness to take initiative
  • Reliability, time management, and organizational skills
  • This position requires the ability to discreetly manage sensitive information in accordance with University and FERPA confidentiality guidelines

Additional Information:
CRF is open 9:00 AM- 5:00 PM Monday through Friday. Students work a minimum of 10 hours per week, typically in 2-4 hour shifts.
