Job description

As a Controls Engineer, you will take on a more independent role in the design, development, and implementation of control systems. You will work on projects of increasing complexity and may lead small project teams or workstreams. This mid-level position requires hands-on experience with control system design and a strong understanding of industrial automation technologies.

Responsibilities
  1. Design and develop control systems for industrial processes, machinery, and equipment.
  2. Program PLCs, HMIs, and other control devices to meet project requirements.
  3. Lead the integration of control systems with mechanical and electrical components.
  4. Conduct testing and commissioning of control systems, ensuring functionality and reliability.
  5. Provide technical support during system installation and startup.
  6. Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on control system design best practices.
  7. Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to define project scope and requirements.
Requirements
  1. 3+ years of experience in control system design and implementation.
  2. Excellent understanding and ability to create and work with a wide variety of PLC programming languages (e.g., ladder logic, structured text).
  3. Strong understanding of industrial automation protocols and standards (e.g., Modbus, Ethernet/IP).
  4. Experience with HMI development and configuration.
  5. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  6. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  7. Excellent understanding and abilities with schematic software such as SolidWorks Electrical, AutoCAD, etc.
