Department: Sports and Fitness Salary: $12.00 per hour
Description:

  • Ensures esports center rules are followed and helps keep the esports center area clean
  • Answers and assists with department phone calls
  • Performs general clerical work (copying, filing, distributing mail, data entry)
  • Interacts with all levels of university personnel, students, and the general population
  • Assists in giving guided tours of the esports center
  • Assists students, faculty, and staff
  • Assists with social media posts and online community discussion boards
  • Assists with events and initiatives sponsored by the Office of Student Activities
  • Runs errands within the university campus buildings
  • Assists the office staff as needed
  • Serves as backup to the Student Activities department
  • Performs opening and closing procedures and follows all UHD emergency procedures
  • All other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Must have the ability to multitask and interact professionally with staff, faculty, and students
  • Must be familiar with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Must be well organized, responsible, punctual, and a self-starter
  • Must have good people skills and a professional attitude and appearance
  • Must have effective verbal/written communication skills
  • Must be familiar with video game systems: Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo, PC
Qualifications:
  • Must be a current UHD student
