This student Work Study position will work in a nearby public school to support students in reading and mathematics.
Education/Experience
Current enrolled student at Stevenson University in good standing with the University, academically and judicially, with Federal Work Study eligibility. All majors are welcome to apply. Student must have at least a 2.5 GPA or higher.
Knowledge/Skills/Ability
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to be a reliable and dependable worker with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality. 
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently.
Physical Requirements
Light work: Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move object.  Clear speaking voice. Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, lifting, keyboarding, talking, hearing and repetitive motions.
Essential Functions
  • Provide support to elementary age children with reading and math in the classroom.
  • Provide support to teachers as needed.
  • Positively promote and represent Stevenson University as an Educational professional.
  • Communicate professionally with students, school staff, teachers, and school leadership.
