Job description

This is a 6 month contract-to-hire and needs to meet Client full-time conversion policies. Those dependent on a work permit sponsor now or anytime in the future (ie H1B, OPT, CPT, etc) do not meet Client requirements for this opening.

**MUST BE W2; No Corp-to-Corp**

The Business Analyst is a key member of the solution delivery team, partnering closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and technology teams to deliver highquality solutions aligned to business strategy. This role is responsible for understanding business needs from an enduser perspective, translating those needs into clear, actionable requirements, and ensuring solutions are effectively designed, tested, and delivered in an agile environment.

The Business Analyst serves as a liaison between business and IT, supporting both projectbased initiatives and ongoing operational needs, with a strong focus on process efficiency, system effectiveness, and regulatory compliance within MPL insurance products.

What You ll Be Doing

  • Serve as a primary liaison between business partners and crossfunctional technology teams, advocating for business objectives while balancing technical considerations
  • Elicit, analyze, and document business and functional requirements, user stories, use cases, and process flows
  • Facilitate requirements workshops and stakeholder discussions to align on scope, priorities, and outcomes
  • Translate business requirements into clear acceptance criteria and execute or support user acceptance testing with full traceability
  • Perform analysis and provide ongoing support for policy rating, issuance, and related insurance systems, ensuring alignment with business rules and state filings
  • Identify opportunities to improve business processes, workflows, and system usage to increase efficiency and effectiveness
  • Clearly communicate findings, recommendations, risks, and progress to stakeholders at varying levels
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, user guides, and reference materials as needed
  • Participate in and support small to large initiatives, balancing project work with operational support
  • Act as a subject matter expert for assigned product lines, systems, or business processes

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role
  • Experience working within Agile or iterative delivery methodologies
  • Strong understanding of user acceptance testing and quality assurance practices
  • Working knowledge of insurance concepts and policy administration systems preferred
