Job description

Your next shift could start here !

You’re looking for hands-on mechanical work that truly matters: safety, precision, operational pace, a strong team, and an organization that moves fast? At WAAS Aerospace Inc., we maintain aircraft that need to depart on time and we do it in an environment where your judgment and attention to detail make all the difference.

We’re in the process of building a strong team.
If you’re looking for a workplace where your impact is visible and where we’re looking for reliable, committed mechanics who want to make a real difference, we want to hear from you.

This job is for you if…

•          You enjoy diagnosing, repairing, and returning aircraft to service properly (not just “quick fixes”).

•          You’re comfortable with AOG (Aircraft on Ground) pressure and shifting priorities.

•          You want to work with dependable people who instinctively prioritize safety.

What we offer (for real):

•          Competitive salary aligned with the market, based on your experience and licence level.
•          Bonuses tied to type courses / qualifications, because we recognize the expertise that comes with certifications.
•          Responsibility bonuses when you take on team lead or supervisory roles.
•          Benefits starting on day one: several insurance options (dental, disability, life, paramedical), including an option with 100% drug coverage, with a significant employer contribution.
•          Healthcare access even when things get busy: 24/7 telemedicine, wherever you are.
•          Your future: retirement savings plan with company contributions.
•          We invest in your growth: education reimbursement program to support ongoing training.
•          We care about the people behind the employee: support programs for life events such as births, marriages, and bereavement.
•          A team that also knows how to unwind: active social committee (happy hours, themed meals, social and sports activities).
•          Long-term stability and mobility: job security plus advancement opportunities within the Chrono Group.

Role and Context
The licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Maintenance (AME-M) performs inspections, repairs, and mechanical adjustments required to ensure aircraft airworthiness. The incumbent follows technical instructions and strict regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

•          Perform scheduled mechanical inspections in accordance with the maintenance program

•          Carry out repairs and component replacements

•          Document completed work in accordance with current procedures

•          Apply relevant service bulletins and airworthiness directives

•          Participate in troubleshooting and root cause analysis

•          Follow workplace health, safety, and environmental procedures

•          Work closely with other technicians and supervisors

•          Maintain up-to-date technical and regulatory knowledge

•          Properly use hand tools and specialized equipment

•          Contribute to the company’s safety culture

Core Competencies

•          Mechanical rigour

•          Personal discipline

•          Autonomy

•          Collaboration

•          Pride in workmanship

Position Requirements

•          AME licence - Category M2

•          Relevant aircraft maintenance experience

•          Knowledge of standard maintenance procedures and technical documentation

•          Ability to meet deadlines and follow safety protocols

•          Proficiency in reading technical drawings and manufacturer manuals

•          Safe operation of heavy equipment and specialized tools

•          Ability to work online aircraft or in a hangar environment

•          Fluency in French is required for this position. In addition, strong English proficiency is required in order to interact with English-speaking clients in Canada and internationally.

What We Offer (and we mean it!)
Because your work is critical, we treat it that way:

•          Benefits from day one, including comprehensive coverage (dental, disability, life, and paramedical services) with generous employer contributions upon hire

•          Accessible health support, even on the move: 24/7 telemedicine, wherever you are

•          Your future matters: group retirement savings plan with employer contributions

•          We invest in your growth: tuition reimbursement program to support continued training

•          We care about the people behind the employee: support program for life events such as births, marriages, and bereavement

•          A team that knows how to unwind: active social committee with happy hours, themed meals, and social and sports activities

•          Long-term stability and mobility: job security and advancement opportunities within the Chrono Group
