Leg Work Rehab Group is seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Springfield, Missouri. This full-time role involves providing exceptional patient care aimed at restoring mobility and enhancing the quality of life for individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries or surgeries.

Work Environment

You will work in an onsite rehabilitation facility that fosters a collaborative environment among physical therapists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough initial evaluations of patients to determine their current physical abilities, range of motion, and specific functional limitations.
  • Develop tailored treatment plans based on individual assessment results, focusing on enhancing mobility, strength rehabilitation, and pain reduction.
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions including manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, and therapeutic exercises to facilitate patient recovery.
  • Utilize modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and cryotherapy based on clinical need to enhance therapeutic outcomes.
  • Work closely with physicians, occupational therapists, and athletic trainers to create cohesive treatment strategies that yield the best results for patients.
  • Educate patients and their families on injury prevention strategies, home exercise programs, and lifestyle modifications that promote long-term health.
  • Document all patient interactions and treatment updates accurately and in compliance with clinic policies, ensuring a seamless flow of information for patient care continuity.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily focuses on a diverse patient demographic facing challenges related to orthopedic conditions. You will work with patients recovering from surgeries, athletes recovering from injuries, and individuals coping with chronic pain, ensuring each receives personalized attention geared toward their unique rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications
  • Possession of a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Missouri.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting, although new graduates with appropriate clinical rotations are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong proficiency in various therapeutic techniques, focusing on manual therapy and functional mobility assessments.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, essential for effective patient education and collaboration.

Preferred Experience
