Job description

SEASONAL STREETS MAINTENANCE WORKER

HIRING RANGE: $18.50 PER HOUR 

*Starting pay for a candidate with a CDL is $19.00 per hour*

About the Position:
Street Maintenance Workers complete routine maintenance projects, including road repairs, chip sealing, sidewalk maintenance, light construction, and concrete work; perform a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned areas of responsibility.
What You'll Do:

  • Participate in the construction, repair, and maintenance of roads, irrigation, and stormwater systems!
  • Clean and seal cracks
  • Rake, shovel and distribute materials necessary for the completion of jobs.
  • Operate dump trucks and small equipment as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

This position is a safety-sensitive position, which means you will be subject to random drug screens due to the nature of the work performed. 
What We're Looking For:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Applicants must be able to successfully pass a drug screen, background check, and, if required for the specific position, a physical examination.
  • Ability to work in all types of weather, including high temperatures in direct sunlight while standing, walking, and/or kneeling.
  • Ability to go from one task to another efficiently.
  • A team-oriented approach to work.
  • Consistent positive attitude and willingness to complete all types of tasks.
  • Understand and follow oral and written instructions, and have the ability to do basic arithmetic.
  • A valid driver's license. 
  • Possession of a Class "B" Commercial Driver License (CDL) is preferred but not required.
