Job description

ATS is looking for an Aircraft Mechanic to work in Yuma, AZ. This mechanic repairs, replaces, and rebuilds aircraft structures, such as wings and fuselage, and functional components including rigging, surface controls, plumbing and hydraulic units, using hand tools, power tools, machines and equipment such as shears, sheet metal brake, welding equipment, rivet gun, and drills. Responsibilities
  • The Aircraft Mechanic I troubleshoots malfunctions on aircraft structure, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, anti-icing, pneumatics, engines, axillary power unit, and ventilation and heating systems.
  • This worker will read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.

Qualifications
  • Previous aviation maintenance experience (turbo-prop experience preferred).
  • Must have the physical capability to work in tight spaces, at heights, on wings, use ladders, operate tugs, operate lifts, bend, squat, kneel for long periods of time and lift up to 45 lbs.
  • Ability to travel 1-2 weeks at a time periodically / complete TDY assignments.
  • Ability to make sound decisions when troubleshooting and maintaining avionics systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret schematics and IETMs.
  • Maintain aircraft logbook forms and records.
  • Experience using multimeters and other applicable tools.
  • Ability to obtain / maintain a U.S. DoD Secret clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.
