CDL Class B drivers are professional drivers who hold a Class B Commercial Driver’s License, allowing them to operate vehicles with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 26,001 pounds or more, or tow vehicles weighing less than 10,000 pounds. Common vehicles they drive include straight trucks, dump trucks, delivery trucks, and some buses. These drivers are required to pass both knowledge and skills tests, and often need to meet additional requirements depending on the type of vehicle and cargo. CDL Class B drivers play a vital role in industries like transportation, construction, and waste management.
