Basic Requirements:
  • Must have a current valid Class B Commercial Drivers License
  • Positive Attitude

  • Willing and able to wear all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations
  • Willing and able to follow directions
  • Able to communicate effectively with customers and coworkers
  • Attention to Detail
  • Clean Driving Record
  • Material Handling and Load Securement Experience
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and able to read and speak the English language
  • Possess a valid Medical Examiner's Certification or ability to obtain a minimum of a 1 year certification (DOT Requirement)
  • Must be able to pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening
  • Randomized Drug Testing
  • Must be insurable with no major infractions or encumbrance's

Major Responsibilities
  • Must have knowledge and comply with all applicable federal, state, local and company rules and regulations that are in accordance with the accepted principals of the safe operation of a commercial vehicle.
  • Must have knowledge and comply with the proper methods of loading and unloading for the various cargo to be transported
  • Report to logistics at the specified time and maintain contact with logistics and dispatch offices as required
  • Complete driver daily logs and all necessary delivery tickets, trip reports, fuel reports, damage reports, and other paperwork required by High Tide Oil Company, Inc., to be turned in as instructed
  • Follow company guidelines in regards to acceptable conduct when dealing with customers, fellow employees and the general public
  • Comply with all company safety and performance standards
  • Represent the Company to our customers, the public and the trucking industry in a professional manner at all times
  • Maintain records for compliance with state and federal regulations, including driver's logs, records of fuel purchases, mileage records and other records
  • Report all accidents immediately involving driver and/or company equipment, regardless of damage to manager
  • Other duties as assigned
Additional Requirements
  • 2 years of verifiable over-the-road driving experience
  • Knowledge of all applicable DOT and Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
  • Be able to work any shift on any day
  • Able to hook and unhook trailers when required
  • Able to drive for up to 11 hours and work a total of 14 hours, while transporting material and sitting for extended periods of time in a truck
  • Must meet all qualifications in 49 CFR Section 391.11(b)(1) & (2) of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
  • Able to lift up to 75 lbs
  • Able to walk, bend, reach, push, stoop, squat, climb, grasp, lift and handle heavy equipment as necessary to ensure safety during the hooking and dropping processes of tractor/trailer combinations as required under 49 CFR Sections 396. 11-15 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
  • Normal range of hearing, vision and smell
