Job description

About Eridan

At Eridan we believe in the power of collaboration and communication to achieve our mission: connect the planet to empower a sustainable, shared future. That mission is possible with our patented transmitter which decreases the cost and power required to roll out 5G by 10x when deployed globally. This is all facilitated through our offices: our Sunnyvale headquarters has big windows (even in the lab!), is walking distance to downtown and the Caltrain, and fits the entire team in the cafeteria for our frequent company parties. Learn more about our mission here.

About this Job

Eridan is seeking a Circuit Design Engineer to join our team in developing advanced RF switching and wideband linear circuits for our next-generation 4T4R 100 MHz IBW Radio Unit (RU). This role emphasizes circuit design expertise with exposure to CMOS switching or class D amplifier design, while offering the opportunity to build deep expertise in GaN material systems. You will play a key role in the design, optimization, and commercialization of one of the most complex circuit platforms in the wireless industry.

As a Circuit Design Engineer, you will:

Circuit Design & Development

  • Design RF switching and wideband linear amplifier circuits for sub-GHz to 10 GHz applications.
  • Apply CMOS switching or class D amplifier design principles to GaN-based architectures.
  • Utilize Keysight ADS and/or AWR Microwave Office for schematic, layout, and verification.

Modeling & Optimization

  • Contribute to parameter extraction, PDK optimization, and compact modeling.
  • Perform system-level analysis to define chip requirements and optimize performance.
  • Support design-for-test (DFT) and design-for-manufacturability (DFM) activities.

Integration & Collaboration

  • Work closely with Eridan's GaN device design team and systems engineers.
  • Participate in design reviews and collaborate with foundry partners on material system integration.
  • Contribute to packaging strategies and digital/analog interface solutions.

Qualities of a Successful Candidate:

  • MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering (BS with strong relevant experience will be considered).
  • 3+ years of experience in CMOS switching RF amplifier design, class D amplifier design, or RF circuit design.
  • Strong background in circuit design fundamentals with ability to adapt to new material systems.
  • Experience with ADS and/or AWR Microwave Office for RF/analog design.
  • Understanding of RF/microwave circuit theory and system integration.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with III-V material systems (GaN, GaAs).
  • Familiarity with parameter extraction, PDK development, or nonlinear modeling.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, or Verilog-A for simulation automation.

Perks of working at Eridan

  • Work on new technology that will make a significant impact on global infrastructure
  • Ability to learn, develop, and advance within a flexible environment
