Job description


Responsibilities
  • Drive rapid prototyping/feature development cycles from technical requirements, software designs, test plans, test execution, debugging, and optimization
  • Translate detailed user stories for complex features and product sets to appropriate test plans
  • Understand User Experience, design thinking and its importance to product features
  • Participate in sprint planning, daily stand ups, product demos, test phases, retrospectives to ensure on-time and high-quality delivery
  • Work very closely with Product owner and Product teams to ensure technical specifications and final product meet Product owner expectations.
  • Define the quality/automation test frameworks and guidelines to be used by the broader team
  • Publish release test results/notes to stakeholders
  • Review user guides, user training materials as appropriate
  • Work collaboratively across team boundaries to share common infrastructure and functional capabilities. Provide feedback into core product teams to influence their roadmap and strategy

Pre-Qualification:
  • Core technical hands-on skills w.r.t test/quality engineering, ideally in multiple technology stacks for web development, APIs and Mobile application development on diverse platforms
  • Good knowledge of relevant automation test frameworks for layers across the stack - Mobile, Front-end (web), Back-end (services)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated and drive for excellence
  • 8 or more years of overall industry experience
  • MS or BS in Computer Science or equivalent

Qualifications:
  • Expect in automation tools:
    • Primary : Cucumber, Selenium Web Driver, Appium, Rest-assured, Rest API, PostMan
    • Secondary : Jmeter, Dynatrace, Splunk
  • Expect in language - (Primary: Java or Python )
  • Experience in using GitHub , gradle and any CI/CD tools
  • Experience in working on Agile and Product Driven Organisation
  • Experience in different Automation Frameworks (Data driven, BPT, Keyword, POM)
  • Strong understanding of testing processes, methodologies and agile concepts such as BDD, TDD
  • Experience in Backlog tools, such as Rally
  • Ability to work in diversified global projects
  • Good communications and collaboration skills
  • Knowledge on Current Market Trends about the tools, especially on reporting.

Bonus Qualifications:
  • Financial services and/or payments processing industry experience is a plus
  • Fluent in discussions about API design, SDKs, and developer tools.
  • Experience in Event stream processing platforms like GCP Pub/Sub,kafka,redis stream
  • Experience in testing applications with no GUI front end
  • Experience in testing mainframe applications
  • Experience with NodeJS is a plus.
