Highlights:
Summary: The Chart Auditor shall be responsible to enter and audit daily charges for all patients in the assigned area. This individual will analyze records and run through rigorous checks to ensure medical necessity and accuracy of the record. The Chart Auditor will review analytical data and audit findings to identify trends and other risk areas. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.
Education/Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent required. At least 1-year clerical experience required. At least 1-year hospital experience required.
Licensure/Certification:
None
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software.
  • Strong team leadership skills, strong organization, interpersonal, and customer relations skills.
  • Must be able to meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, and excellent organizational skills.
  • Must be able to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to remain calm in difficult situations.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, proficient computer skills, proven track record of successful performance.
  • Ability to understand complex multifactor situations and bring appropriate solutions.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of commonly used body mechanics, basic safety principles, and medical terminology.
