As a Work From Home Injection Mold Design Engineer, your daily responsibilities typically include creating and revising 3D CAD models and detailed mold drawings, conducting mold flow analyses, and collaborating with both internal teams and clients via virtual meetings. You will also troubleshoot design and manufacturing issues, provide technical support for ongoing projects, and manage project timelines to ensure timely delivery. This remote setup allows you to work on multiple projects concurrently while maintaining flexibility in your work environment.
A Work From Home Injection Mold Design Engineer should possess strong knowledge of injection molding principles, CAD software proficiency (such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD), and a degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering. Familiarity with mold flow analysis tools, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), and relevant industry certifications like Six Sigma or Mold Design certification add significant value.
