Job description

Own and lead the development of analog integrated circuits for neuromodulation medical devices—from first principles through silicon and into real-world use. You’ll work on ultra-low-power designs that interface directly with the human nervous system, contributing to technologies that have a meaningful impact on patient care. This includes restoring function, monitoring neurological conditions, and enabling new therapeutic approaches.
We are seeking an experienced Analog Circuit Design Engineer with 7+ years of experience in custom mixed-signal circuit design, specifically focused on neural sensing and stimulation technologies for medical and implantable applications. Strong experience across the following areas is desired: design of ultra-low-power front-ends for sensing neural signals (EEG, EMG), high-efficiency stimulator output stages, power management architectures, data converters, low-noise and low-power amplifiers, RF wireless data transmission (FSK, ASK), and CT filters.
The ideal candidate will have experience supporting implantable hardware design and bioelectronics systems requiring high reliability, low power consumption, and compliance with medical safety standards. We value a quality-driven mindset, strong communication skills, and a startup-oriented approach—taking ownership, staying adaptable, and contributing wherever needed to move the work forward.

Open Position:
Richardson, TX (Hybrid)
Remote eligibility available for qualified candidates
Key Responsibilities:
• Design analog building blocks including PLLs, low-noise amplifiers, charge pumps, bandgaps, serial interfaces, ADC/DAC converters, DC regulators, analog filters, and ultra-low-power front-ends
• Develop high-efficiency stimulator output stages and power management architectures for advanced mixed-signal ASIC applications
• Run pre-tapeout verification flows to confirm designs meet performance, power, reliability, and timing requirements
• Collaborate with layout and digital teams to deliver high-quality mixed-signal SoCs, including physical design support and post-silicon validation planning
• Create and maintain project documentation and contribute to improving design flows and methodologies
• Lead and mentor junior engineers
Qualifications:
• MSEE/PhD with 3–10 years of experience or BSEE with 5–10 years of experience (MS or PhD preferred)
• Hands-on experience with analog and mixed-signal design including low-noise/low-power amplifiers, ADCs, DACs, LDOs, bandgaps, charge pumps, RF wireless transmission, and power management architectures
• Experience with medical, implantable, or bioelectronics systems is strongly preferred
• Proficient with Cadence custom circuit design tools such as ADE-L and ADE-XL and performing Monte Carlo, noise, aging, EM/IR drop, and stability simulations (Synopsys Custom Compiler experience is a plus)
• Strong experience with simulation tools such as Spectre, Hspice, and PrimeSim
• MATLAB, SystemVerilog, and Python experience preferred
• Capable of understanding DRC and LVS results using verification tools such as Calibre, ICV, or PVS
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
• Self-starter capable of independently driving tasks to completion while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams
