These roles require strong attention to detail, knowledge of workers' compensation laws, and good communication skills. Common job titles include claims adjuster, case manager, and risk manager.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in a workers' compensation specialist role, and why are they important?

The Opportunity

  • Prepare and send medical records, reports, and billing documentation in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient accounts in our EMR system (eClinicalWorks)
  • Track outstanding items on active cases and follow up proactively — nothing falls through the cracks
  • Support the billing and lien management team as needed
  • Handle high call volume professionally and efficiently
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines

  • Familiarity with personal injury, workers' comp, or medical billing
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Experience working with attorneys, insurance companies, or legal staff
  • Medical assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
What We Offer
  • Competitive pay — $17–$23/hour depending on experience
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Paid time off and paid holidays
  • Retirement plan with employer contribution
  • Opportunities for advancement — we promote from within
  • A supportive team environment where your work genuinely matters
  • Training provided — we invest in our people
Schedule
  • Full-time, Monday–Friday
