Morning Dance, Music & Fitness Instructor for Kids

Stretch-n-Grow is the world’s largest children’s fitness and enrichment program, and we are looking for dependable, energetic, and professional instructors to join our Dance Stars, Music Stars, and Fitness Stars teams in Hattiesburg, Laurel, and surrounding counites.

This is the perfect position for someone who loves working with children, enjoys staying active, and is looking for a fun, meaningful part-time morning job with a consistent schedule.

Our programs help children build confidence, coordination, creativity, and healthy habits through dance, music, fitness, and movement-based learning. We are looking for team members who bring positive energy, strong communication, and reliability to every class.

Position Overview:

As an instructor, you will teach engaging classes for children ages 18 months to 8 years old in preschools and childcare centers. Classes include creative movement, beginner dance skills, music enrichment, and fitness-based activities designed to help children learn through movement and play.

This position is primarily weekday mornings and is ideal for someone who has open morning availability and can commit to a consistent schedule.

• Someone who is dependable and shows up on time every time
• Open weekday mornings (Monday–Thursday, approximately 8:00 AM–1:00 PM)
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between schools
• Positive, energetic, and confident leading groups of young children
• Professional communication and strong personal responsibility
• A long-term team member who takes commitment seriously
• Someone who loves kids, movement, music, dance, and active work

Experience in dance, music, cheer, gymnastics, fitness, preschool, teaching, or childcare is a plus—but reliability and professionalism matter most.

Responsibilities:

• Teach dance, music, and fitness classes in a fun and engaging environment
• Follow pre-planned lesson plans and curriculum provided by Stretch-n-Grow
• Create a positive classroom atmosphere that helps children feel confident and successful
• Travel to local schools throughout Hinds, Madison, and Rankin Counties
• Attend training sessions and participate in two annual recitals/performances
• Arrive early, prepared, and ready to lead each class with energy and professionalism

Requirements:

• Must pass required background checks

• Must be comfortable working independently with groups of children

Compensation:

• Starting pay: $15 per hour, with opportunity for increase based on commitment and performance
