The U.S. Army Financial Assistance Program (FAP) offers a unique opportunity to reduce your financial burden during residency while setting the stage for a rewarding medical career with substantial long-term benefits.

Obligation begins: AFTER you have completed your residency/fellowship and boards. 

What is the Financial Assistance Program (FAP)?

The FAP is designed to provide significant financial support during your residency, ensuring you can focus on your education without the added stress of financial concerns.

FAP Benefits During Residency:

  • $45,000 Annual Grant  Paid directly to you
  • $~3,000 Monthly Stipend  Supporting your living expenses 
  • 100% Reimbursement for all required tuition, fees, books, and equipment

Total Annual Financial Support During Residency:

Residency Requirement:
