Word Processor/Transcriptionist- Nationwide

Jamison ("Jamison") is currently seeking qualified and motivated candidates for the position of Word Processor/Transcriptionist Nationwide (remote). This position is remote within the United States only. Applicants must be able to work as a U.S.-based 1099 independent contractor. Extremely competitive per page rate pay. Flexibility on workload.

Scope of Responsibilities:

  • Accurate verbatim transcription and editing of legal hearings/drafts from digital recordings.
  • Must be able to meet specific deadlines for completion of transcripts.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • Minimum typing speed 65 wpm, minimum 95% accuracy.
  • Excellent attention to detail, active listening and reading comprehension skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
  • Must be proficient in the English language and have a good ear for foreign/regional accents.
  • Two (2) years as a word processor or transcriptionist.
  • Must pass Government Clearance through Office of Personnel Management, which includes but is not limited to a criminal background check, reference checks, and drug screening as required by the client.
