JOB SUMMARY: 

Under limited supervision this position includes responsibilities with both Word Processing and Copy Center, both high volume, production environments. Tasks in Word Processing include formatting, producing, revising, and creating documents. Tasks in the Copy Center include operating copier machinery and other equipment, ordering supplies, and initiating requests for service. Other tasks to include serves as LAN administrator for hardware/software needs of the departments. Report production measurements to manager. 


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Tracks Word Processing/Copy Center production numbers and compiles department statistical information for reporting. Forwards reporting to Manager, as requested.
  2. Serves as LAN administrator/technical resource for department, assists with the assignment of system accessibility levels, hardware/software purchase recommendations, and communicates with in-house and outside vendor specialists.
  3. Assists in Copy Center as directed. Operates duplicating equipment to print a variety of forms, newsletters, notices, and publications on various paper stocks. Performs functions related to Copy Center such as binding of proposals, shrink wrapping, and folding. Cleans, lubricates, and performs routine maintenance on Copy Center equipment. Assists with written procedures for department.
  4. Formats, produces and revises complicated documents, such as lengthy technical and statistical reports from various data sources. Uses desktop publishing software for production and some design. Maintains databases, as needed. Assists with written procedures for department.
  5. Interprets instructions during production of documents. Contacts appropriate Bank personnel when additional communication is required. 
  6. Works on special projects, as assigned, including coordination of major customer mailings and/or internal communications. 

Marginal Functions:

  1. Performs additional job-related duties as required. 

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS NEEDED TO PERFORM JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Significant experience with Microsoft Word and Excel, Adobe Acrobat, InDesign and Creative Suites, high volume copy machine and other production printing equipment. 
  • Strong knowledge of grammar and composition rules for editing and proofreading
  • Attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality
  • Typing skills of at leas 60 wpm with a high level of accuracy
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Experience in a high-production environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Sitting, typing and formatting for extended periods of time. Ability to lift up to 55 pounds.
