Job description

QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. High School Diploma or GED equivalency
  2. Effective communication skills
  3. Adapts to multi-tasking and shared work teaming
  4. Demonstrates initiative toward beginning and completing projects within appropriate time frame
  5. Familiar with use of computers, printers, fax machines, calculator, new technology equipment and devices as required by the district
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Working knowledge of clerical procedures such as word processing, managing files and records, and operation of office machines.
  2. Familiar with computer use and commonly used software such as Windows Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  3. Develop and maintain working knowledge of library software system.
  4. Possess basic understanding of a library and the Dewey Decimal System.
  5. Communicate effectively with parents, students, and teachers.
  6. Assist with maintaining appropriate behavior in the library.
  7. Assist teachers with lesson materials.
  8. Assist with circulation procedures.
  9. Assist with shelving books.
  10. Assist with processing books.
  11. Assist with class lessons as necessary.
  12. Manage library duties in the absence of the librarian.
  13. Maintain library functions during librarian's lessons.
  14. Maintain pleasant appearance of library.
  15. Any other reasonable duties as assigned by Principal / Librarian.
