Job description

VCA Animal Specialty Group (ASG)is seeking an experienced Doctor's Assistant (DA) for our ER dept. ASG is located in Los Angeles, Glendale adjacent.Primary skills required for this position:
  • Triage patients, including STAT calls as needed
  • Communicate with clients to obtain histories, explain estimates, discharges and euthanasia paperwork
  • Create estimates and present to clients
  • Thoroughly relay patient histories to doctors and technicians
  • Help maintain the flow of the doctor's schedules & triages
  • Create treatment sheets in Smart Flow per doctor's instructions
  • Fill prescriptions to go home with clients
  • Answer calls, and send and receive emails/text messages
  • Manage daily tasks (lab & radiology reports, filing, call backs/updates, enter charges, export Smart Flow discharges into Woofware, etc.)
  • Ensure patients are clean and comfortable
  • Help clean and maintain the overall treatment floor and hospital
