Location: Woodcrest Villa
Current Opening:
  • Full-time | 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM (EXEMPT)
The The Wellness Manager is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and overseeing the daily operations of the Woodcrest Villa VIVA Centre's fitness and aquatic programs, ensuring high-quality services that promote the health, wellness, and safety of residents and team members. This position will be performed in accordance with TANDEM LIVING Core Values, Mission Statement, and regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of five (5) years of successful experience working with an older adult population.
  • Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Health Promotion, Recreation, or a related field.
  • Senior fitness certification preferred (e.g., Senior Fitness Association, ACE, AFAA, or equivalent).
  • Current Lifeguard, CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications, or the ability to obtain them within an established timeframe.
  • Experience leading both aquatic and land-based fitness classes.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
  • Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive wellness, fitness, and aquatic programs that promote the health and well-being of residents and members.
  • Lead and instruct a variety of aquatic and land-based fitness classes while providing guidance, coaching, and support to participants of varying abilities.
  • Manage the VIVA Centre membership program, including member recruitment, orientations, fitness assessments, education, and retention initiatives.
  • Ensure the safe operation of the fitness and aquatic centers by maintaining knowledge of equipment, enforcing safety standards, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and best practices.
  • Assess residents and members to determine appropriate exercise programming and provide individualized recommendations that support their wellness goals.
