YOUR ROLE:
  • Hillis-Carnes Specialty Construction Group is actively seeking Geotechnical Drillers for our Woodbine, MD office. The ideal candidate should have an in-depth understanding of the geotechnical drill rig operations and drilling techniques. Need to be reliable, motivated, possess a positive attitude, and have a good work ethic. Experience with Hollow Stem Auger and Casing Advance Drilling, Mud Rotary Drilling, Split Spoon and Shelby Tube Sampling, and Rock Coring.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • High school diploma
  • Ability to meet additional pre-employment requirements.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Self-motivated, responsible, and reliable
  • Clean and maintain company assigned vehicle, drill rig, and equipment
  • Work closely with site leadership to ensure that scope of work is being met within a timely schedule and in accordance with the safety standards
  • CDL class A or B is preferred but not required
  • Produce daily reports and boring logs
  • Successful candidate will be encouraged to expand their skills and certifications through company-provided training and mentoring
