Job description

Boise Cascade Havana Plywood is looking for a Wood Treater to join the team!

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor wood-treating equipment, including treating cylinders, pumps, valves, tanks, controls, and related material-handling equipment.
  • Load and unload treating cylinders, organize and stage treated product for storage and shipment.
  • Monitor various metrics and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Ensure lumber is treated according to customer specifications, product requirements, and applicable standards.
  • Inspect treated lumber and identify and report any issues
  • Perform routine equipment inspections, housekeeping, lubrication, and basic preventive maintenance activities.
  • Follow all company policies, safety standards, standard operating procedures, and environmental procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with operations, maintenance, supervision, and other departments.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.  

  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, industrial operations, wood products, chemical processing, equipment operation, or related fields preferred.
  • Forklift experience preferred.

The candidate must also be able to pass the Florida Department of Agriculture Commercial Applicator License test within the first 90 days.
