Job description

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
You will report directly to the Director of Elite Youth Basketball Sports Marketing, partner closely with Basketball Sports Markeing teammates and work alongside the broader Sports Marketing organization. Additionally, you will work with Basketball Brand, Product Innovation, Marketplace, and Product Merchandising teams to ensure Sports Marketing efforts are in service of brand and business objectives. Externally you will work with athletes, key influencers, agents, event logistics, elite youth, high school, college, and WNBA team personnel.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
As part of our North America Elite Youth Basketball Sports Marketing team, the Girls Basketball Sports Marketing Field Rep will execute the strategic vision for for Elite Youth Basketball, identify talent, provide elite service, develop and retain relationships. You'll leverage your expertise to ensure that Basketball Sports Marketing, EYBL platforms, and programs have elite high character talent.
You will also make recommendations and decisions to shape the future of our Women's basketball sports marketing portfolio, aligned to the strategy of the Basketball Sports Marketing team, across professional and NIL. The ideal candidate will be an inclusive, collaborative, strategically minded, highly effective teammate and beable to operate abd drive clarity in a dynamic environment through critical thinking and problem solving.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and training

  • 5+ plus years proven experience in Sports Marketing, Brand Marketing, or closely related field preferred

  • Proven ability to develop meaningful relationships that drive and achieve business objectives in conventional and innovative ways

  • True passion, understanding, and interest in Women's Basketball

  • Knowledge of the Women's Basketball landscape across Grassroots Girls Basketball, NCAA, and WNBA

  • Portfolio management and critical thinking

  • Ability to exercise independent judgement and decision making and communicate in a compelling manner to internal/external partners

  • Enterprise thinking, and end-to-end business knowledge, and organizational and operational excellence

  • Familiarity with the brand marketing, and sports marketing functions at Nike preferred

  • Proficiency in MS Office, Keynote, and Nike systems preferred

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
  • Cultivate and maintain significant relationships and networks with athletes, agents, teams, and other industry strategic partners with Girls' and Women's Basketball community, as well as Nike Sports Marketing, Brand, and Business teams

  • Support Girls' Basketball Sports Marketing strategy, including day-to-day relationship management, talent identification to inform invest/divest decisions for Nike's athletes portfolio

  • Maintain updated athlete information and manage periodic updates to systems

  • Execute the budget with accountability around accurate forecasting and communication

  • Lead with collaboration, a growth mindset, and remain passionate about key priorities
