Position Overview:
The Venues Marketing Intern is responsible for supporting the efforts of promoting events at Capital One Arena and EagleBank Arena. This position will focus on assisting with promotions, marketing efforts, events, and programs. This is a paid internship.

Responsibilities:
  • Providing support for daily activities, events, and projects
  • Brainstorming creative and innovative ideas for marketing campaigns with advertising, social media, event messaging, and brand campaigns
  • Organizing, resizing, and managing the marketing department's digital asset inventory
  • Assisting with social media strategy and content creation
  • Designing decks highlighting monthly performance across venues
  • Coordinating with the Marketing team for event responsibilities, event nights, and fan activations
  • Analyzing and tracking advertising efforts and updating monthly growth charts for social media accounts as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Current undergraduate or graduate student.
  • Innovative, independent, and upbeat.
  • Organized, able to prioritize work and problem-solve in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for live entertainment, promotions, events, and creating experiences.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including grammatical, spelling, and proofreading abilities, with a strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.)
  • Experience shooting and editing photos/video is a plus.
  • Availability to work 20 hours/week from September to May.
  • Reliable housing and transportation to Capital One Arena and EagleBank Arena (Fairfax, VA).
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Pay Rate: $18.40 USD/hour
