Job Description

The Senior Manager, Enterprise Applications is responsible for the strategic leadership, governance, implementation, optimization, and support of the organization's enterprise applications portfolio. This role ensures that business-critical systems effectively support operational objectives, enhance user experience, and enable business growth. The Senior Manager leads a team of business analysts, developers, and support personnel while partnering closely with business stakeholders, IT leadership, vendors, and project teams.

The position plays a critical role in driving digital transformation initiatives, application modernization, process improvements, and operational excellence across enterprise platforms such as ERP, CRM, WMS, HRIS, BI, e-Commerce and other business systems.

This is a critical role within the organization with high impact. This role sits at the intersection of business stakeholders, technology team, implementation teams and is an integral part of overall Digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the enterprise applications roadmap aligned with business and IT strategies in the areas of ERP, CRM, WMS, HRIS, financial systems, e-Commerce, Transportation Systems, and reporting platforms.
  • Understand and learn current legacy systems and continue supporting them til they are sunset.
  • Understand and support current digital transformation initiatives including ERP transformation program.
  • Partner with business leaders to identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and technology enablement.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that improve efficiency, scalability, and user experience.
  • Establish governance processes for application lifecycle management.
  • Oversee the implementation, enhancement, integration, and support of enterprise applications while ensuring availability, reliability, performance, and security of business-critical systems.
  • Manage application upgrades, patches, releases, and vendor roadmaps.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of  senior business analysts, developers.
  • Establish performance goals and professional development plans.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and customer service.
  • Build strong partnerships with business executives and department leaders.
  • Facilitate business requirements gathering and prioritization processes.
  • Translate business needs into technology solutions and implementation plans.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor for enterprise application strategy and investments.
  • Lead enterprise application projects from planning through execution and deployment and Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Maintain appropriate controls over critical business systems
  • Support ERP modules and cross-functional processes across Financials, Supply Chain, WMS, e-Commerce, Transportation Management.
  • Develop training materials, job aids, and release communications; provide go-live and hypercare support.
  • Maintain documentation and traceability: requirements, decisions, risks/issues, change requests, and release notes.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 12-15+ years of progressive experience supporting enterprise applications.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing teams and enterprise application portfolios.
  • Experience with ERP, CRM, WMS, supply chain, financial, HR, or customer-facing platforms.
  • Proven success leading large-scale application implementations and upgrades.
  • Strong experience working with business stakeholders and executive leadership.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one major ERP platform (e.g. Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP).
  • Strong requirements elicitation, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Understanding of end-to-end business processes and data flows across functional areas.
  • Proficiency with analysis and documentation tools (e.g., Visio/Lucidchart, Jira/Azure DevOps, Confluence/SharePoint, Excel).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to translate between business and technical audiences.
  • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills
  • Ability to work with application owners and non-data teams
  • Comfortable operating production data pipelines with SLAs

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Advanced degree preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ERP implementations, rollouts, or multi-entity implementations; familiarity with change management practices.
  • Experience with any e-Commerce platforms and applications like Docusign and Adobe Sign.
  • Experience with any Service desk platforms similar to ServiceNow / Manage Engine will be added advantage.
  • Experience with any documentation management systems similar to Doclink / Altec.
  • Experience with Great Plains Financials management systems.
  • Knowledge of integrations and middleware (e.g., Boomi, MuleSoft, Informatica) and API concepts.
