What will your role be? 
As an SAP SD/MM/WM Functional Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting, maintaining, and enhancing the organization's SAP Materials Management and Warehouse Management modules across North America operations. You will collaborate closely with supply chain, procurement, warehouse, quality, and plant maintenance teams to analyze business processes, gather requirements, configure SAP solutions, and ensure seamless integration across logistics and warehouse systems.

This position emphasizes system configuration, warehouse execution support, process optimization, cross-functional integration, ticket management, and end-user support in a high-volume distribution and manufacturing environment.
 

Job Description
  • Analyze and map business processes related to Inventory Management and Warehouse Management including inbound receipts, put away, quality inspections, stock transfers, picking, packing, shipping, and physical inventory
  • Configure and maintain SAP MM components such as material master, vendor master, purchasing documents, release strategies, pricing conditions, account determination, and inventory movement types
  • Configure and support SAP WM functionality including storage types, storage bins, transfer orders, transfer requirements, picking strategies, put away strategies, cycle counting, and warehouse monitoring
  • Provide hands-on troubleshooting and onsite support for warehouse teams supporting inbound, quality, and outbound activities
  • Support integration between SAP and external warehouse management systems such as SynQ, including monitoring interfaces and resolving integration errors
  • Identify and resolve issues arising from third-party warehouse applications and coordinate with SAP technical teams for permanent solutions
  • Partner with business users to identify process improvement opportunities and automation within warehouse and procurement operations
  • Develop and document functional specifications for enhancements, interfaces, reports, and forms
  • Support full-cycle SAP SD/MM/WM projects including blueprinting, configuration, testing, data migration, cutover, and post-go-live support
  • Coordinate with global SAP support teams (including Europe) for enhancements, deployments, unit testing, and regional data migration
  • Participate in system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and regression testing
  • Create user documentation, training materials, and standard operating procedures
  • Ensure compliance with change management processes and documentation standards
  • Monitor data integrity, inventory accuracy, and warehouse transaction performance
  • Participate in system upgrades, patches, and enhancement pack implementations
  • Stay current with SAP best practices in SD, MM WM, including warehouse integration technologies
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 8 years of SAP MM experience with strong hands-on configuration and support background
  • At least 3 years of supporting warehouse-related SAP WM transactions in a live distribution or manufacturing environment
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting ERP implementations or application deployments using structured project methodologies
  • Strong knowledge of Inventory Management and material movement processes
  • Deep understanding of SAP WM processes including inbound, outbound, internal movements, and physical inventory
  • Experience integrating SAP with external warehouse systems (e.g., SynQ or similar WMS platforms)
  • Experience in process mapping, gap analysis, and deploying solutions with approved vendors and proprietary systems interfacing with SAP
  • Extensive hands-on experience in SAP Materials Management (MM)
  • Deep functional knowledge of SAP Warehouse Management (WM)
  • Working knowledge of server administration and system environments
  • Solid understanding of network infrastructure and server architecture principles
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for warehouse and procurement-related issues
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment
  • Experience in Manufacturing, Distribution, or Supply Chain-intensive industries preferred
