Our client seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead a live, in-flight Distribution Center and Warehouse Systems program. The consultant will step into the build and unit testing phase to drive execution, strengthen risk management, coordinate interdependent workstreams, and prepare for System Integration Testing and go-live. The role requires leadership across warehouse operations, IT, application vendors, testing, and business stakeholders, with emphasis on Manhattan WMS, complex dependency management, and clear executive communication.
Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Rate: $60.00 to $65.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:
  • Lead execution across multiple warehouse and distribution center initiatives in parallel.
  • Own project schedules, milestones, deliverables, budgets, risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Coordinate activities across business, operations, infrastructure, application development, testing, and vendor teams.
  • Provide concise stakeholder communications and regular status updates to leadership.
  • Drive planning, execution, monitoring, testing, deployment, and go-live readiness.
  • Ensure integration between WMS, material handling equipment, and enterprise applications.
  • Identify, track, and manage RAID with proactive escalation and mitigation.
  • Maintain detailed schedules and manage interdependencies and critical paths.
  • Coordinate SIT, end-to-end testing, UAT, and production deployment.
  • Remove obstacles and escalate critical issues when required.
  • Partner with business and IT leadership to achieve scope, timeline, and quality objectives.
  • Support distribution center transformations including new facility implementations and operational readiness.

Experience Requirements:
  • PMP certification.
  • 7+ years leading large-scale IT initiatives.
  • Project management experience in warehouse, logistics, supply chain, or distribution center environments.
  • Hands-on experience with WMS/WMOS. Manhattan WMS strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC and system integration projects.
  • Proven management of complex, interdependent schedules and cross-team dependencies.
  • Experience facilitating SIT, end-to-end testing, and UAT.
  • Executive communication and stakeholder management.
  • Project financials, budgets, and forecasting.
  • Tools: Clarity PPM, Jira, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project.
  • Preferred: Agile or Scrum delivery, MHE integrations, and new distribution center launches.
