Job Title: Director, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) Lead Product
Position Summary (Purpose of Job)
The Director, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) Lead Product for WMS capabilities across US Pharmaceutical Distribution (USPD) Distribution Centers, accountable for defining and delivering a portfolio of WMS products that enable safe, compliant, and efficient pharmaceutical distribution. This role leads the transition from a traditional delivery model to a product management model, owning end-to-end outcomes across DC operations-including inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, regulatory compliance, and automation enablement.
As a Director (M4), this role provides strategic leadership across multiple teams, integrating product strategy, operations, and technology execution to deliver scalable, business-driven solutions aligned with enterprise priorities.
The Director partners closely with Distribution Operations, Automation/WCS, SAP, and Engineering teams to evolve WMS into a modern, scalable product ecosystem, while influencing enterprise decisions, driving governance, and ensuring sustained business value delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Ownership
  • Own the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle for WMS platforms across USPD
  • Define and deliver product capabilities aligned to business outcomes, regulatory requirements, and operational KPIs
  • Drive customer-centric, data-driven product decisions, leveraging analytics, AI, and industry trends

Cross-Functional Leadership & Execution
  • Lead cross-functional planning and execution across Distribution Operations, SAP, Automation/WCS, and Development teams
  • Ensure alignment of product priorities with enterprise strategy, operational goals, and investment decisions
  • Oversee integrated product portfolios, managing dependencies, risks, and delivery outcomes at scale

Transformation & Innovation
  • Champion the shift to a product-centric operating model, enabling faster delivery and improved business outcomes
  • Drive modernization initiatives, including automation, AI/analytics, and scalable architecture enablement
  • Lead enterprise-wide process improvements and transformation programs impacting distribution center operations

Stakeholder Influence & Governance
  • Act as a senior advisor to executives and cross-functional leaders, shaping strategic direction and prioritization
  • Establish governance models, performance metrics, and decision frameworks to ensure product value realization
  • Drive alignment across diverse stakeholders, influencing without authority to achieve shared outcomes

Vendor & Financial Management
  • Own vendor strategy, contract alignment, and service-level performance for WMS platforms and partners
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, and investment prioritization to maximize ROI and operational efficiency
  • Ensure financial discipline, cost optimization, and value delivery across the product portfolio

Operational Excellence & Support
  • Oversee production support and escalation management in partnership with IT Operations
  • Ensure platform stability, compliance, and service performance across distribution environments
  • Continuously improve workflows, service levels, and operational effectiveness through data-driven insights

People Leadership
  • Lead organizational planning, workforce design, and talent development across product and delivery teams

Minimum Job Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities)
  • Deep expertise in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), including full lifecycle implementations in distribution environments
  • Strong understanding of product management, portfolio governance, and enterprise program delivery
  • Proven ability to lead multi-team, cross-functional portfolios and advise senior executives
  • Advanced communication and executive-level storytelling skills
  • Experience driving enterprise transformation, modernization, and process improvement initiatives
  • Expertise in vendor management, contract negotiations, and service-level performance
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities for solving complex business challenges
  • Experience leveraging AI, analytics, and automation technologies within supply chain or WMS ecosystems

Business Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Typically 12+ years of professional experience with 4+ years in management roles
  • Proven track record leading large-scale, cross-functional product or technology initiatives
  • Experience supporting Distribution Center operations and supply chain systems
  • Demonstrated ability to manage senior stakeholders, influence enterprise decisions, and lead organizational change at scale
