Job Summary
The Warehouse Associate Team Lead is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and safety across all material handling activities. This position provides leadership to the warehouse team by training staff, monitoring performance, and coordinating workflow. The Team Lead plays a key role in driving accuracy, productivity, and continuous improvement while supporting production and shipping needs.
Pay Range: $26.00 - $29.00
Hours: 1:00 PM - 9:00 PM M-F
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Oversight
• Direct daily activities of warehouse associates to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment, inventory management, and part flow.
• Act as the first point of contact for warehouse staff questions or issues.
• Train, mentor, and coach team members on proper procedures, safety, and best practices.
• Provide feedback to management on team performance, workload, and process improvements.
• Assist in scheduling and assigning daily tasks to meet operational priorities.
• Follow all OSHA protocols and enforce the expectations with all team members, including forklift logs, PPE requirements, and Hazmat protocols.
Operational Responsibilities
• Oversee picking, stocking, and kitting, activities to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, to safely move and organize inventory.
• Support inventory audits, cycle counts, and root cause analysis of discrepancies.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment in compliance with company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments (Inventory, Production, Purchasing, Shipping) to support smooth operations.
• Serve as acting supervisor when the Inventory Manager is unavailable.
Continuous Improvement
• Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance warehouse efficiency and accuracy.
• Participate in warehouse reorganization projects, layout changes, and 5S initiatives.
• Assist in implementing new procedures, tools, or technology.
Qualifications
• Minimum 3 years of direct warehouse supervisor or team lead experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Valid forklift certification with strong hands-on experience operating a forklift safely.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team while fostering a positive work environment.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse processes, safety protocols, and material handling equipment.
• Proficiency with ERP/WMS systems and advanced computer skills, including Excel and inventory tracking tools. JobBoss2 experience is highly preferred.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift 60 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification is a plus.
