Get paid to have fun hanging out with kids, 18 months to 12 years of age, as you teach them how to create art!
Apply today to become a Mobile Children's Art Teacher who believes SLIME, CLAY, PAINT, & GLITTER should be a part of every young artist's life.
We have permanent and seasonal positions available.
Here's the Lowdown
At Kidcreate Studio, every day is a new creative adventure. Whether you're teaching in our colorful Wixom studio or bringing art directly to local schools and community organizations, you'll help children discover the joy of creating through hands-on art experiences.
Our Mobile Art Teachers partner with schools, parks & recreation departments, preschools, daycares, libraries, homeschool groups, and community organizations to bring exciting, instructor-led art experiences directly to kids throughout the community.
  • During the school year, you'll need to be available three or more afternoons each week.
  • Love summer? So do we! We offer significantly more hours during school breaks, no-school days, snow days, holidays, and throughout the summer months with camps, workshops, and special events.
  • Looking for even more GLITTER in your life? Morning, early evening, and weekend shifts are available too!
  • Choose your adventure! Teach fun, hands-on art classes in our colorful Wixom studio or take creativity on the road as one of our Mobile Art Teachers.
  • Reliable transportation is a must—skateboards, bikes, and roller skates are fun, but you'll need your own vehicle for mobile programs.
  • You must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Kidcreate Studio is a fast-growing, locally owned company with studios across the country.
  • This is an excellent opportunity to start a fun, rewarding career while making a lasting impact on children's lives through art.
What You'll Do
  • Lead engaging art classes, camps, workshops, birthday parties, and special events for children ages 18 months to 12 years.
  • Teach both in our Wixom studio and at mobile locations throughout the surrounding communities.
  • Create a fun, safe, positive, and encouraging environment where every child feels successful.
  • Encourage creativity, build confidence, and make every child feel like an artist.
  • Prepare, organize, and clean up art materials before and after each class.
  • Follow lesson plans while bringing your own energy, enthusiasm, and creativity to every class.
  • Help maintain classrooms, supplies, and materials so they're always ready for the next creative adventure.
  • Communicate professionally with parents, caregivers, school staff, and fellow team members.
  • Represent Kidcreate Studio with professionalism, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude wherever you teach.
  • Get a kick out of making a mess—and believe kids should be messy too!
We're Looking for Someone Who...

  • Is enthusiastic, dependable, creative, and loves working with kids.
  • Understands that our families count on us, especially during school breaks, no-school days, snow days, holidays, camps, and workshops.
  • Can work independently while also being an outstanding team player.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Has excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Is proactive and enjoys finding solutions before problems arise.
  • Has strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Doesn't mind getting a little messy—paint, clay, glitter, and slime are all part of the fun!
  • Loves working with kids and believes creativity should be celebrated.
  • Is comfortable being on their feet throughout the day and helping wherever needed.
  • Has reliable transportation.
  • Is excited to support a fun, energetic team and help create unforgettable experiences for children and families.
Here's What You Get

  • 10–35 hours per week, with opportunities to grow into a full-time position.
  • Mileage reimbursement for mobile classes.
  • Paid training as we prepare you for the best job ever!
  • Flexible scheduling.
  • Opportunities for career growth—we promote from within for all full-time positions.
  • Employee discounts on retail items.
  • Discounts on classes, camps, and birthday parties for family members.
  • All lesson plans and art supplies are provided.
  • A good ol' Slime-Tastic time every day!
Who Thrives in This Role?

This position is perfect for educators, college students, retired teachers, paraeducators, graphic designers, freelance artists, ceramic artists, daycare providers, caregivers, homeschool educators, and anyone who loves inspiring children through creativity.
If you believe every child deserves the opportunity to create, explore, imagine, and get a little messy, we'd love to meet you.
