How do I make money on Wix?

Wix professionals can make money by building and designing websites for clients, offering services such as customization, SEO optimization, and maintenance. They can also create and sell their own templates or digital products through the Wix platform, earning revenue from sales or service fees. Developing skills in web design and using Wix tools is essential for success in monetizing this role.

What is the difference between Wix vs Web Developer?

FeatureWixWeb Developer
CredentialsNo formal credentials required; user-friendly platformTypically requires coding skills, degrees, or certifications
Work EnvironmentOnline platform, drag-and-drop interface, cloud-basedVaries: office, remote, or freelance; involves coding and design
Usage in IndustryUsed by small businesses, individuals, and non-technical usersEmployed by agencies, companies, or freelance clients for custom websites
Search & ComparisonPopular for DIY website creation, less technicalMore technical, customizable, requires programming knowledge

Wix is a website builder platform designed for non-technical users to create websites easily with drag-and-drop tools. Web Developers, on the other hand, are skilled professionals who build custom websites using coding languages. While Wix offers quick, user-friendly solutions, Web Developers provide tailored, complex website development services.

What is a Wix developer?

A Wix developer is a professional who specializes in building, customizing, and maintaining websites using the Wix platform. They use Wix’s drag-and-drop tools, templates, and advanced features such as Velo by Wix to create aesthetically pleasing and functional sites for businesses or individuals. Wix developers can help with design, e-commerce integration, SEO optimization, and adding custom code to enhance website functionality. Their expertise ensures that clients get a professional online presence tailored to their needs.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Wix Web Designer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Wix Web Designer, you need a strong grasp of web design principles, visual aesthetics, and familiarity with Wix's website building platform. Proficiency with the Wix Editor, Wix ADI, and integrations with third-party tools or apps is essential, and certifications in web design or UX/UI can be advantageous. Creativity, problem-solving skills, and effective client communication are crucial soft skills that set top designers apart. These abilities ensure visually appealing, functional websites that meet client needs and adapt to evolving digital trends.

What kind of jobs can you get at Wix?

At Wix, you can find a variety of roles including software engineers, designers, product managers, marketing specialists, customer support agents, and sales professionals. These jobs often require skills in web development, design, or digital marketing and may involve working in collaborative, fast-paced environments with remote or on-site options.

How much does Wix pay per 1000 views?

Wix does not pay users directly based on views; it is a website building platform. If referring to monetization, earnings depend on factors like ad revenue, affiliate programs, or content type, and rates vary widely. Content creators or marketers using Wix may earn through ad networks or sales, but there is no standard pay per 1000 views from Wix itself.

What is the downside of Wix?

Wix web designers and developers may find its customization options limited compared to more flexible platforms, and its reliance on templates can restrict unique design possibilities. Additionally, Wix's pricing structure can become costly for advanced features or larger websites, and its platform may have performance limitations with complex or high-traffic sites.

What are some common challenges faced by Wix website designers when working with clients, and how can they be addressed?

Wix website designers often encounter challenges such as clients having unclear website goals, requesting frequent changes, or having limited understanding of design possibilities within Wix. Effective communication and setting clear expectations at the outset can help mitigate these issues. It's important to use project briefs, share examples, and provide regular updates to ensure alignment. Additionally, educating clients about Wix's features and limitations can lead to smoother collaboration and more successful project outcomes.

Job description

Job Description

We're building the go-to-market team for Base44, an AI-powered software development platform recently acquired by Wix. As one of our first sales hires in the US, you won't just work alongside AI - you'll run it. This role is purpose-built for the next generation of sales: in addition to traditional SDR duties, you'll orchestrate a fleet of AI agents that handle high-volume outbound so you can focus on strategy, signal interpretation, and converting the best opportunities into pipeline.

This goes beyond a traditional SDR role. You'll own the prospecting motion end-to-end - designing the workflows, tuning the AI agents, analyzing what's working, and personally engaging the accounts that require a human touch. You'll work directly with our founders and Wix leadership to shape how a category-defining product goes to market.

What you'll do

  • Operate and optimize a portfolio of AI-driven outbound agents - managing prompts, sequences, targeting logic, and performance across email, LinkedIn, and other channels

  • Analyze AI output daily: what's landing, what's getting ignored, and why - then iterate fast

  • Define and refine Ideal Customer Profiles and buyer personas; feed that intelligence back into agent targeting and messaging

  • Handle high-priority accounts personally, stepping in where human judgment, relationship-building, or nuanced conversation is required

  • Qualify inbound and AI-generated interest -surfacing pain, fit, and urgency before handing off to Account Executives

  • Build the playbook: document what works, create templates and frameworks that will scale as we grow the team

  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Product to align messaging with the product roadmap and real customer feedback

  • Maintain CRM hygiene and deliver accurate pipeline and activity forecasts

We are seeking NYC based candidates who can come into the office 3x per week.

Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of B2B SDR/BDR experience, ideally at a startup or fast-moving tech company

  • Genuine curiosity about AI tools - you've experimented with them, you understand their limits, and you're excited to push them further

  • Strong written communication: you can tell the difference between AI output that's good enough and copy that actually converts, and you know how to close that gap

  • Analytical mindset - comfortable digging into performance data and drawing actionable conclusions

  • Self-directed and comfortable with ambiguity; you don't need a playbook handed to you

  • Experience with AI/ML platforms, developer tools, or product-led SaaS is a strong plus

Additional Information

We're Base44, a newly acquired part of Wix, on a mission to change how software gets built. Our AI-powered platform allows anyone to create custom software applications using natural language-no traditional coding required. We operate like a startup within Wix: fast-moving, collaborative, and focused on solving complex problems with simple, elegant solutions.

As an early sales hire, you'll play a key role in shaping our go-to-market approach, working closely with our founders and Wix leadership to bring this transformative technology to market.
