Weโre building the go-to-market team for Base44, an AI-powered software development platform recently acquired by Wix. As our first Sales Leader, youโll be at the forefront of introducing a category-defining product to the market โ shaping the sales strategy, driving pipeline, and closing strategic deals from the ground up.
This role is ideal for a self-starter who thrives in a fastโpaced, entrepreneurial environment and is excited by the challenge of bringing innovative AI technology to new clients. Youโll play a foundational role in scaling our business, building trusted relationships, and unlocking growth through a consultative, valueโdriven sales approach. As our first sales hire, youโll play a key role in shaping our goโtoโmarket approach, working closely with our founders and Wix leadership to bring this transformative technology to market.
Responsibilities
- Lead and grow a highโperforming AE team; run a coachingโfirst operating cadence (daily standups, weekly 1:1s and call coaching, pipeline/deal reviews, QBRs).
- Own the full sales cycle as a playerโcoach โ from outbound prospecting to close โ while leveling up the team on discovery, multithreading, and mutual close plans.
- Define the foundational sales motion: ICP and segmentation, messaging, outbound playbooks, and territory coverage models.
- Drive predictable revenue: maintain 3โ4x pipeline coverage, deliver accurate weekly forecasts, and create gapโclosing action plans.
- Partner crossโfunctionally with Product and Marketing to align GTM, close the feedback loop, and influence roadmap, pricing, and positioning.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of B2B SaaS sales experience, preferably in startup or highโgrowth environments.
- 3+ years directly managing quotaโcarrying AEs (2โ6 sellers), with a track record of team attainment and improved win/conversion rates.
- Experience selling AI/ML, developer platforms, data platforms, or productโled SaaS to technical and executive buyers (VP Eng, CTO, CPO).
- Proven success building or scaling early GTM motions: outbound programs, segmentation, and territory design.
- Proven track record of consistently exceeding quota and closing complex deals.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with an ability to tailor messaging to different audiences.
- Selfโmotivated, goalโoriented, and comfortable with ambiguity in a highโgrowth environment.

As our Sales Manager, youโll play a key role in shaping our goโtoโmarket approach, working closely with our founders and Wix leadership to bring this transformative technology to market.
Approximate base compensation is $155,000 โ $170,000. In addition to base pay, this role includes variable compensation earned and company RSUs as part of the compensation package. Final offer may vary and will be determined by factors including location, role expectations, shift, candidate profile and ideal qualifications.
