Job description

Pope Saint John Paul II Preparatory School is seeking a high school assistant swim coach. This role requires a proven background in coaching swim, strong leadership and organizational skills, and a genuine passion for guiding student-athletes to grow both athletically and personally. The assistant coach will help to foster a culture of teamwork, sportsmanship, and excellence while mentoring students in character, discipline, and academic balance. Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree or higher. Pope Saint John Paul II Preparatory School is a 6th-12th Grade Catholic School in the Diocese of Nashville. We are committed to the mission of preparing students to become strong in mind, body, character, and spirit for the lives of learning and service according to the gospel. Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as an assistant swim coach.
• Assist in planning practices that enhance skill development.
• Lead, motivate, and mentor student-athletes.
• Collaborate with school administration, faculty, and parents to promote a positive athletic experience.
• Assist in managing team logistics, including scheduling, equipment, and game-day operations.
Qualifications:
• Experience coaching in middle school, high school, or college swim programs.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to fostering a student-centered environment emphasizing character and personal growth.
