Wisconsin Nurse Practitioners (NPs) are advanced practice registered nurses who are licensed to provide a wide range of healthcare services, including diagnosing and treating illnesses, prescribing medications, and managing patient care. They often serve as primary or specialty care providers and can work independently or in collaboration with physicians, depending on state regulations. In Wisconsin, NPs must hold a master's or doctoral degree in nursing and have national certification in their area of specialty. Their role is essential in improving access to healthcare, particularly in rural and underserved communities.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Wisconsin nurse practitioner?
