Zayo is seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager, Network Construction and Deployment to be responsible for leading the development and execution of our fiber service delivery and field team platforms. This includes working with cross-functional teams to define requirements, design features, and implement solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software, software development, product management, managing large projects in the real world, and API integrations.

Responsibilities:

  • Overall software/systems responsibilities spans those used in fiber engineering, fiber planning and relocation, construction, vendor management, documentation management, deployment of internal/external technicians for fiber repair.

  • Define and prioritize business requirements for internal software, 3rd party software and integration between systems in alignment with business goals.

  • Manage multiple roadmaps and ensure that they aligned with business priorities and other product roadmaps.

  • Work with outside plant construction teams, network engineering teams, and field management teams to drive efficient workflows through automation.

  • Work with Zayo customers to define and automate deliverables to customers.

  • Write engineering analysis and recommendations to stakeholders, then flipping the script and explaining product trade offs to engineers, all the while keeping scale and long term viability in mind with trade offs for faster execution.

  • Create technical specifications with and across software engineering teams to determine feasibility, resulting in a holistic technical view for a new feature or functionality.

  • Conduct research and identify new opportunities for efficiency and innovation for building customer services.

  • Gather feedback from internal stakeholders and external customers constantly improve internal automation and drive efficiency while improving the customer experience.

  • Determine KPIs, measurement methodology, and reporting for new features and functionality to measure the success of development effort.

  • Assist with development of testing and deployment plans as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Computer Science degree, a solid background in both software engineering and product management, and naturally gravitate towards driving efficiency through automation.

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in software engineering, devops, or SRE.

  • Minimum of seven (7) years in product management, technical product management, or network engineering.

  • Extensive experience with product requirements gathering, design, and implementation.

  • Direct involvement in software development process, creation of software products and API integrations with and between existing systems.

  • Experience working within Salesforce and directly with the Salesforce API.

  • Experience working within ServiceNow and directly with the ServiceNow API.

  • Proficiency in SQL, and working with open source tooling such as Prometheus and Grafana.

  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication, with solid skills in Excel and Powerpoint.

  • Previous work with automating complex processes and systems integrations.

  • Experience with Atlassian and agile development methodologies.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Talented for taking complex topics and explaining them simply.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with Sitetracker software.

  • Multiple years with a company providing infrastructure based products, such as IaaS, PaaS, CSPs.

  • Experience with various network technologies.

  • Adjacent experience with any type of physical construction, such as telecom, utility, or building construction.

  

Estimated Base Salary Range: $105,000 - $150,000 USD/annually.

The base pay range shown is a guideline and reasonable estimate for this role. It takes into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted range based upon geographic location, work experience, skill level, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Non- sales roles may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive plan. Sales roles may be eligible to participate in a sales incentive plan.

Additionally, this position may be eligible for certain benefits, such as health insurance, life insurance, disability retirement plans, paid time off.
