Description
Join our Wireless Systems Design Validation Team, where we ensure cutting-edge wireless and PHY systems meet rigorous performance standards across critical parameters, including Power Accuracy, Spurs, EVM, Sensitivity, Desense, RF/Baseband Performance, MIMO, and Coexistence. We operate at the intersection of silicon development and system deployment, where rigorous validation determines the success of cutting-edge wireless technologies. This is an opportunity to work with talented engineers on complex technical challenges that shape the future of wireless communication.","responsibilities":"You will develop and execute comprehensive test methodologies for validating wireless and PHY system performance throughout silicon development and deployment cycles.
Working closely with PHY, MAC, and RF design engineers, you will identify test requirements, troubleshoot complex issues, and provide analysis to drive design improvements.
You'll collaborate with system integration and test engineers to maintain validation infrastructure and ensure our wireless systems meet performance specifications across all critical parameters.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering; Master's or Ph.D. preferred.
Deep understanding of key performance indicators and signal impairments in RF and baseband domains.
Hands-on experience with silicon bring-up and wireless system testing in laboratory environments.
Proven experience developing and automating tests for wireless systems, including test framework design and implementation.
Experience with regulatory testing and certification processes, including emissions, spectral masks, band edge, and power compliance measurements.
Proficiency with RF test equipment including signal analyzers, signal generators, and spectrum analyzers.
Minimum Qualifications
BS and a minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience.
Strong knowledge of wireless communication systems, with emphasis on WiFi; cellular technologies experience is a plus.
Strong programming skills in Python, Shell scripting, and/or C/C++/C# for test automation and data analysis.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,000 and $308,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
