Job description

Holtsclaw Construction Company, LLC, a fast growing commercial general contractor operating throughout the Southeast United States, is looking for a project manager with 5+ years of experience in commercial construction projects working for a General Contractor. We are looking for someone who has experience running $500k - $5M size projects. Projects will consist primarily of new ground up construction for retail, quick service restaurants, office space, commercial, restaurants, shopping centers, and big box facilities. The project manager is responsible for overseeing all project related estimation, construction activities, safety procedures, assisting superintendent with scheduling, business development, customer relationships, and quality control for each project. This role will require a strong ability to lead, teach others, and set the bar for project management team and field operations team.

Responsibilities

  • Work with executive team on developing budgets and schedules
  • Actively assist with business development and maintaining outstanding relationships with owners, developers, architects, and subcontractors
  • Estimating and project management for active projects
  • Assist design team and ownership with permitting
  • Oversee and direct all project related construction activities
  • Review bids, write detailed scope of work for subcontracts, and project buyout
  • Manage RFI's and submittals
  • Assist Superintendent with coordination and scheduling of all subcontractors and project deliveries
  • Communication with project team, superintendent, field personnel, inspectors, and municipal/utility representatives
  • Communication with owners, developers, and design team
  • Daily correspondence with superintendent to review of all work in progress to ensure safety and quality control procedures are followed
  • Review and coordination of all construction documents and specifications
  • Review of daily reports produced by superintendent
  • Project tracking and updating schedules
  • Review with superintendent for coordination of all required building inspections and 3rd party testing
  • Sending out updated plans, review & management of change orders
  • Monthly billing
  • Ability to coordinate multiple trades, tasks, and multiple projects


Required Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • 5+ years of commercial project management experience required running multiple projects over the size of $500,000
  • Strong ability to understand plans, estimate projects, and extensive project management experience with a General Contractor
  • Strong knowledge in sitework and building construction
  • Must have experience as a project manager with a general contractor
