Small & Medium Business (SMB) Account Executive – Outside Sales

Pay Range: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 / Annual

unWired Broadband is searching for a motivated and results-driven Small & Medium Business (SMB) Account Executive – Outside Sales to join our on-site sales team. Reporting to the Director of Sales, this position is responsible for developing new business relationships, identifying customer connectivity needs, and delivering broadband solutions to businesses throughout an assigned market. This is an active, field-based outside sales role focused on generating new business, developing a strong pipeline, and building trusted relationships with local business owners and decision-makers.

Compensation and Earning Opportunity:

  • Guaranteed Annual Compensation: $60,000–$80,000, based on experience and position level.
  • Target Total Compensation at Plan: Approximately $96,000–$120,000+ annually, including guaranteed compensation, uncapped commissions, and incentive programs.
  • Uncapped commission accelerators for exceeding quota.
  • Company-sponsored SPIFFs and sales incentives.
  • Structured new hire commission ramp program.

***The SMB Account Executive position is built around a monthly Installed Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) sales quota. Commissions are earned based on eligible MRR generated after qualifying sales are successfully installed and invoiced.

Essential Duties:

  • Proactively canvass assigned residential neighborhoods and engage residents through direct, face-to-face outreach at their homes.
  • Develop relationships with residential and small business customers within assigned communities.
  • Generate new sales through neighborhood outreach, community events, referrals, and face-to-face prospecting.
  • Educate customers on the benefits of unWired Broadband’s fiber and fixed wireless internet services.
  • Identify customer needs and recommend the best broadband solutions.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of prospective customers.
  • Schedule customer appointments and assist through the sales process.
  • Maintain accurate sales activity and customer information within the Company’s CRM.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Customer Experience, and Operations to ensure an outstanding customer experience.
  • Represent unWired Broadband professionally while serving as a trusted resource within the community.
  • Demonstrate a personal commitment to the Company values; promote an environment that recognizes and values diversity and treats all people with respect, prohibiting unlawful discrimination and harassment.
  • Ensure a safe, healthy work environment by following all safety, health and environmental policies, procedures, and regulations per the Company’s IIPP, job safe practices and other related programs.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Previous sales, retail, customer service, hospitality, canvassing, or community outreach experience is preferred but not required.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Comfortable engaging customers in residential neighborhoods and local businesses.
  • Comfortable working outdoors and walking for extended periods
  • Ability to travel to and between jobsites
  • Bilingual: English/Spanish is preferred
  • Problem Solving: identifies and resolves problems timely; gathers and analyzes information effectively; develops alternative solutions; uses reason when dealing with emotional topics.
