About the Role

HPE Networking is seeking an experienced and highly technical Product Management leader to define and execute the vision for the next generation of AI-native, self-driving wireless networks. This individual contributor role will drive product strategy, innovation, and execution for capabilities that automate network operations, improve user experiences, and simplify enterprise WLAN management through AI, automation, observability, and cloud-native technologies.

This is not a traditional product management role. We are looking for a hands-on builder and technical leader who thrives in customer environments, enjoys solving complex networking problems, and can translate real-world challenges into innovative product capabilities. The ideal candidate combines deep wireless networking expertise with a passion for AI-driven operations and a relentless focus on customer outcomes.

You will work closely with engineering, architecture, AI/ML, cloud, and customer-facing teams to identify opportunities, validate solutions, and deliver differentiated products that advance our vision of self-driving networks.

What You'll Do

Product Strategy & Vision

  • Define and drive the product strategy and roadmap for self-driving wireless networking capabilities.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation, and observability to eliminate operational complexity and improve customer outcomes.
  • Develop long-term product visions, business cases, and investment priorities aligned with market opportunities and customer needs.

Customer Engagement & Innovation

  • Engage directly with enterprise customers, partners, and field teams to understand operational challenges and emerging trends.
  • Analyze customer issues, identify root causes, and translate insights into scalable product enhancements.
  • Validate new concepts rapidly through prototypes, proofs of concept, and customer feedback loops.

Technical Product Leadership

  • Partner closely with engineering and architecture teams to define product requirements and deliver innovative capabilities.
  • Contribute technical expertise in enterprise WLAN, cloud-managed networking, RF technologies, network automation, and troubleshooting.
  • Review packet captures, client connectivity data, RF analytics, and operational telemetry to inform product decisions.
  • Drive development of capabilities that prevent misconfigurations, improve network resiliency, and automate operational workflows.

AI, Automation & Observability

  • Champion the use of AI and machine learning to improve network operations, troubleshooting, remediation, and optimization.
  • Define product capabilities focused on predictive insights, automated root-cause analysis, anomaly detection, and intelligent recommendations.
  • Collaborate with AI/ML teams to deliver practical, customer-focused solutions that advance self-driving network operations.

Cross-Functional Execution

  • Influence and align stakeholders across Product Management, Engineering, Customer Success, Support, and Go-to-Market teams.
  • Serve as a technical thought leader and trusted advisor across the organization.
  • Prioritize initiatives based on customer value, technical feasibility, and business impact.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 10+ years of experience in Product Management, Network Engineering, Technical Product Leadership, or related roles.
  • Deep expertise in enterprise WLAN technologies and wireless networking architectures.
  • Strong understanding of cloud-managed networking platforms and network operations.
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting complex networking environments.
  • Experience with network observability, telemetry, analytics, and operational monitoring.
  • Proven ability to work directly with engineering teams to define and deliver technical products.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to influence without authority in a highly collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AI-native networking platforms and AI-driven operations.
  • Experience using modern AI tools and technologies to accelerate product innovation and operational efficiency.
  • Knowledge of RF design, wireless optimization, packet analysis, and network diagnostics.
  • Familiarity with automation frameworks, APIs, and infrastructure-as-code concepts.
  • Experience with large-scale cloud services and SaaS platforms.
  • Background in network assurance, observability, AIOps, or autonomous networking.
  • Experience working with enterprise campus, branch, and cloud-managed wireless environments.
