Job description

Your Impact

As a Senior Product Manager, Dedrone, you will help define and execute the product strategy for the organization's Solution offerings. You will work at the intersection of customer needs, product strategy, and technical execution to shape how Dedrone products leverage RF, Radar, Camera, Networking, Software, and Firmware technologies to deploy, power, and operate systems.

We're looking for someone who can translate mission and customer needs into clear requirements, contribute to a product roadmap, and drive alignment across engineering and business stakeholders while making thoughtful tradeoffs across performance, reliability, cost, power, and field quality. You will partner closely with electrical engineering, hardware engineering, systems engineering, RF engineering, firmware, software, operations, manufacturing, compliance, and external partners to ensure Dedrone's capabilities are robust and differentiated in real-world public safety environments.

What You'll Do

Location: Onsite at our Sterling, Virginia or Seattle Office 4 days a week
Reports to: Sr. Director of Product, Dedrone
Direct Reports: N/A

  • Contribute to product strategy and own roadmap execution for defense solutions within Dedrone
  • Define product requirements and prioritization for solution, hardware, and network design initiatives
  • Translate customer, business, and operational needs into clear technical priorities for defense and counter-UAS field behavior
  • Work with external vendors and partners to support product strategy and execution
  • Partner with RF, ME, EE, Firmware, Software, Compliance, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to drive end-to-end product decisions
  • Ensure product decisions reflect real-world field conditions and solve problems in mission-critical environments
  • Drive tradeoff decisions across BOM cost, system capabilities, schedule, manufacturability, and quality
  • Build alignment across cross-functional stakeholders and influence roadmap decisions
  • Define success metrics and use customer feedback, field data, and operational insights to improve product quality and connectivity outcomes

What Success Looks Like

  • Customer adoption of product features grows with high customer satisfaction
  • Product, business development, and engineering teams are aligned on high-value product investments and tradeoffs
  • Platform decisions improve reliability, performance, and customer trust in real-world deployments
  • Teams make earlier, better-informed decisions around certification, field quality, and launch readiness
  • Customer pain points tied to defense systems performance are better understood, prioritized, and reduced over time

What You Bring

  • 3+ years of product management experience, with 1+ years in defense, public safety, counter-UAS, or technically complex hardware/software products; demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional alignment
  • Familiarity with wireless, embedded, or sensor domains - including some combination of RF, radar, camera, cellular, Wi-Fi, GNSS, or connectivity performance
  • Experience owning or contributing to hardware products deployed in operationally demanding or mission-critical environments
  • Comfort with system architecture documentation, hardware/software integration concepts, and multi-discipline technical stacks
  • Strong product judgment and ability to prioritize across customer value, technical complexity, business impact, and execution risk
  • Ability to operate in ambiguous, high-dependency environments with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and systems thinking
  • Track record of delivering products or major capabilities with measurable customer and business impact

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with mission-critical, defense, cUAS, public safety, or other operationally demanding connected products
  • Experience working with hardware RF, radar, camera, network, embedded, or wireless systems engineering teams
  • Technical degree or MBA is a plus
