Location: Atlanta, GA or Birmingham, AL | Hybrid โ€“ 2โ€“3 days onsite

Employment: W2 only โ€“ no C2C/third parties. No visa sponsorship or transfers, including H1B, OPT, or dependent-sponsored work authorization.

Overview

Seeking a Data & Wireless Network Engineer to support the design, implementation, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management of enterprise wired and wireless network infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco wired and wireless network infrastructure.
  • Support routing, switching, firewalls, wireless LAN, and network security services.
  • Manage network equipment lifecycle, standards, documentation, and implementation.
  • Configure and support network projects, including coordination with field technicians and operations teams.
  • Provide network planning, engineering, and technical consulting support.
  • Troubleshoot issues across end-to-end data and wireless LAN environments.
  • Ensure compliance with engineering and documentation standards.
  • Participate in a rotating after-hours on-call schedule.

Required Qualifications

  • 3โ€“5 years of enterprise wired networking experience.
  • 3โ€“5 years of enterprise wireless networking experience.
  • Strong Cisco networking experience, including:
    • Catalyst 9K switches
    • ISR 4K and Catalyst 8K routers
    • Wireless controllers and access points
    • AAA integration
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, QoS, Multicast, CAPWAP, WAN, Ethernet, routing, and switching.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with field technicians on network installations and troubleshooting.
  • CCNP-level networking knowledge; certification is a plus.
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Visio.
  • Ability to participate in rotating after-hours support.

The hourly pay rate range for this position is $40.00 to $45.00 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
