Responsibilities

As a Wireless Construction Manager, you will oversee all phases of wireless telecom construction projects, including carrier site builds, upgrades, modifications, overlays, equipment swaps, and closeout activities. This role requires hands-on experience supporting major wireless carriers such as T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, or similar wireless customers.

You will lead and coordinate field crews, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to carrier quality standards. You believe in doing the job right, holding teams accountable, and delivering high-quality work in a safety-focused environment.

In addition, you will:

  • Provide a high level of customer service when interfacing with carrier customers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal project teams
  • Manage wireless construction projects from initial site assignment through closeout, including site walks, scheduling, construction execution, punch walks, and final deliverables
  • Give direction to multiple crews and subcontractors performing civil, electrical, tower, equipment installation, integration support, and closeout activities
  • Review project schedules, identify risks or delays, and drive work toward milestone completion
  • Manage projects to completion on time, within budget, and in compliance with customer expectations
  • Schedule crews, assign work, review project timelines, communicate expectations, and supervise field performance and job quality
  • Promote a safe work environment and hold crews accountable for safe work practices, including JSAs, PPE, site safety, and customer safety requirements
  • Review and interpret construction drawings, RFDS documents, CDs, blueprints, scopes of work, BOMs, site maps, permits, and customer specifications
  • Identify and resolve drawing, material, access, permitting, or site condition issues before and during construction
  • Coordinate with tower crews, civil crews, electrical contractors, equipment vendors, landlords, inspectors, and carrier representatives
  • Inspect work in progress to ensure quality standards are met and rework is minimized
  • Review and approve subcontractor work, field documentation, closeout packages, and billing support as needed
  • Take responsibility for personnel, vehicles, equipment, tools, and materials under your control
  • Participate in project meetings with operations leadership, peers, customers, vendors, and subcontractors
  • Support estimating, bidding, change orders, production tracking, and project forecasting when needed
  • Perform other duties as required and/or assigned

Qualifications

  • You have direct experience managing wireless telecom construction projects for major carriers
  • You have supported carrier work such as T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, DISH, or similar wireless customers
  • You understand wireless site construction, including macro sites, rooftop sites, tower modifications, equipment upgrades, antenna/radio swaps, small cells, or carrier modernization work
  • You have experience coordinating civil, electrical, tower, integration, and closeout activities
  • You have a track record of completing work with a high level of quality while meeting schedule and customer expectations
  • You are comfortable managing subcontractors and field crews across multiple active job sites
  • You can read and understand construction drawings, RFDS documents, scopes of work, site plans, and customer specifications
  • You are able to identify field issues, communicate clearly, and drive solutions without waiting for problems to become bigger
  • You enjoy problem-solving and troubleshooting issues as they arise in the field
  • You have previous site management experience and can maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors
  • You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities, tight timelines, and customer-driven deadlines
  • You are willing to travel as needed to support wireless construction projects
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project, and can learn customer or company-specific tracking systems
  • You have 3-5 years of experience managing wireless telecom construction projects
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent wireless construction experience will be strongly considered

Compensation of $80,000-$90,000 annually, depending on the experience.
