About the role The Wireless Solutions Architect II is a senior, client-facing technical leader responsible for defining strategy, designing complex enterprise wireless solutions, and guiding implementation teams to success.

This role requires deep expertise in modern WLAN architectures, with a heavy emphasis on Juniper Mist, and strong experience across HPE Aruba and Cisco wireless portfolios. The Architect II will own endtoend wireless solution design, from discovery and conceptual architecture through detailed design, deployment guidance, and optimization. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, provide direction to engineering teams, and act as an escalation point for complex wireless performance and reliability issues.

Key responsibilities include: Client Leadership & Strategy Serve as the primary wireless architecture advisor to enterprise clients, shaping overall WLAN strategy and roadmap. Lead client workshops, assessments, and design sessions to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and resilient wireless architectures. Present solutions, design decisions, and tradeoffs to both technical and executive stakeholders in clear, businessaligned language.

Architecture & Design Own the endtoend technical design of wireless solutions, with a focus on Juniper Mist, including: RF design and validation for complex office, campus, industrial, and/or retail environments. Architecture for WLAN, LAN/WLAN integration, cloud-managed platforms, and integration with security and identity services. Highavailability, redundancy, and scalability planning.

Develop highquality design artifacts: HLDs, LLDs, BOMs, diagrams, configuration standards, and implementation guidelines. Define and enforce wireless design standards, reference architectures, and best practices across projects. Technical Leadership & Team Guidance Provide technical direction to teams of network and wireless engineers during deployment and optimization phases.

Function as a toptier escalation point for complex wireless issues, driving root cause analysis and permanent corrective actions. Mentor and coach engineers on wireless design concepts, tools, and troubleshooting methodologies. Provide architectural and design peer reviews and serve as oversite for wireless projects.

Implementation Support & Troubleshooting Guide and oversee survey, design, and validation work using Ekahau and Hamina, ensuring alignment with client performance and coverage requirements. Lead complex troubleshooting efforts involving RF interference, capacity issues, roaming problems, client behavior, and application performance. Collaborate with OEM support (Juniper Mist, HPE Aruba, Cisco) on escalations, TAC cases, and advanced feature implementation.

Standards, Governance & Continuous Improvement Contribute to internal best practices, standards, and reusable design patterns for wireless solutions. Evaluate emerging wireless technologies (e.g., WiFi 6/6E/7, location services, IoT integration, AIdriven operations) and advise clients and internal leadership on their applicability. Support presales and solutioning efforts by providing accurate levelofeffort estimates, scope definitions, and technical input to proposals/SOWs

What were looking for: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

7-10+ years of handson experience in enterprise wireless networking design, implementation, and troubleshooting. Proven experience leading large or complex WLAN projects and directing teams of engineers. Demonstrated experience as a clientfacing architect or senior engineer responsible for solution direction and design approvals.

Deep knowledge of 802.11 protocols, RF fundamentals, capacity planning, roaming behavior, QoS, and wireless security (WPA2/3Enterprise, 802.1X, RADIUS, etc.). Strong, recent handson experience with Mist Cloud, APs, and related components (e.g., Marvis, location services, SLEs, AIdriven operations). Experience designing, deploying, and operating Mistbased environments at enterprise scale

Solid experience architecting and troubleshooting wireless solutions across Aruba and Cisco portfolios (e.g., controllers or controllerless, cloudmanaged). Familiarity with policy/enforcement platforms (e.g., ClearPass, ISE) and integration into WLAN designs. Expertlevel proficiency withEkahaufor predictive design, onsite surveys, and validation surveys

Strong handson experience withHaminafor predictive design and modeling. Strong understanding of wired network fundamentals (switching/routing) as they relate to WLAN (PoE, VLANs, QoS, multicast, etc.). Comfort with reading and developing network diagrams and detailed configuration documentation

Excellent communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to Clevel, technical leadership, and engineering teams. Demonstrated leadership in crossfunctional and multistakeholder environments. Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities with a methodical approach to troubleshooting.

Ability to manage multiple concurrent engagements and prioritize effectively. Relevant industry certifications, such as: Juniper: JNCIPENT, JNCIEENT, or Mistspecific accreditations. CWNP: CWDP, CWAP, CWSP, CWISA, or CWNE (strong plus).

Aruba: ACMP/ACMX. Cisco: CCNP Enterprise (wireless focus) or legacy CCNP Wireless. Experience integrating WLAN with NAC, MDM, and identity platforms.

Experience with advanced analytics, AIdriven operations tools, and locationbased services. Experience in consulting or professional services environments, including SOW development and project estimation. Experience with scripting and automation to operational and drive efficiencies.
