Lonestar Electric Supply and its subsidiaries are looking for a Wire Room Lead who will work to support a dynamic team of individuals to perform various tasks related to fulfilling wire orders, packaging, stocking, loading, unloading, and ensuring the general organization and safety of the wire room within the warehouse. The ideal candidate will be dependable, prompt, reliable and engaged. They will also drive and promote our passion to MAKE IT HAPPEN! 


Responsibilities

  • Receive, verify, and stock various wires utilized in the electrical industry.
  • Review orders, pull requested wire from spools, examine for accuracy, and wrap for transport.
  • Provide loading and unloading support as needed. 
  • Update databases timely and provide accurate inventory counts as requested. 
  • Follow processes and procedures as instructed by your Lead or Wire Room Supervisor. 
  • Help maintain a clean and organized working environment.
  • Follow established safety guidelines and proper protocols. 
  • Provide excellent customer service to our internal and external partners, customers, logistics professionals, vendors as well as vendor partners and employees. 
  • Proactive communication to management regarding issues and concerns.
  • Provide coaching to wire room associates and support to leadership. 
  • Other tasks as assigned by leadership. 

Requirements 

  • 3-5 years experience operating various types of wire and material handling equipment including wire cutters, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts as needed.
  • Strong reading and communication skills.
  • Epicor Eclipse ERP experience preferred. 

Physical Requirements:

  • May be required to move up to 40 lbs.
  • Regularly works around moving mechanical parts and in warehouse conditions that are not always climate controlled and may include, heat and humidity. 
  • Noise level may be loud at times. 
  • Must be able to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina.
